Nitrogen is commonly used before commissioning new piping, after repairs, before welding, and before returning equipment to service.

Pressure Testing During Maintenance
Many mining operations perform pneumatic pressure testing after new equipment is installed or maintenance is completed. Nitrogen provides a dry, inert testing medium that does not introduce additional moisture into the system.
